2nd Essay for Exam~ Water Cycle

a) The water cycle shows us how water travels. This includes from lakes, rivers streams to clouds, and fog. The water cycle has steps. These steps are evaporation, transpiration, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, and absorption. Also i has surface run off and groundwater. When water evaporates it is lifted from a liquid state to gas. Surface run off is like irrigation when water runs off of one part of land into another. Condensation occurs on a glass when the water is cold and is put into warm area. Thanks to the water cycle, water occurs everywhere in the world. Without water humans may not survive.
b) The flow of water between the elements of watershed are interesting. Lakes, streams, and rivers all lead to the ocean. Watershed all occurs going down stream. When the water is carried downstream it is also carried into the ground. This water is provided to humans to drink, and then is also carried into toilets and put back outside into lakes and taken to the ocean. Wetlands are also part of the water cycle. Wetlands help carry the water into the bodies of water in the world. They are also a place where many wetland animals leave so the water provides the animals with drinks and a wonderful place to live.
c) Many rivers and streams occur in the world. These are sometimes big and sometimes small.Their features include where they all start. "All rivers and streams start at a high point."(1) They all go through the process of water shed and joining together. This creates a bigger and better area of water in the water cycle. Flooding can occur in these areas as well. This would cause the rivers and streams to over flow and possibly cause damage into the world. Erosion which is when water ruins the surface of land, also is created by these things. The streams and rivers create erosion when they over flow on the land. This causes the area of land to get big holes, and a new area for rivers and streams to occur because they can create a ravine in the land. Deposition occurs naturally because streams and rivers always run over rocks causing them to be broken down. This is deposition. It is actually very good for the environment. This causes sand and stuff to be deposited on the shore at beaches.

Exam- 1st Essay and Bib

a) The sun and solar activities take many different patterns in their movement around places. Things like sunspot cycles solar flares, and solar winds mainly take these patterns. These patterns occur because of the magnetic fields in which they lay on. The suns main magnetic area is in the convection zone. This is why they have to move in patterns. The way that they move is the main patterns that occur in this.
b) Things in which occur on the sun also can relate to phenomena such as auroras, distribution of radio and satellite communications, and power grid disturbances. An aurora is similar to the magnetic fields on the sun and the magnetic activity on the sun. “An aurora is sometimes even called the northern and southern lights.”(1) They are natural lights displayed in the sky. The sun is also a natural light in the sky. The sun keeps our sky light during the day. Then sometimes at night you can look up into the sky and it is lit up by the auroras. This is similar and helps for humans like us to be able to see into the sky. The distribution of radio and satellite communications also relates to the sun. This is because it is the main transport of communication. The sun is the main source of light. These are very similar.
c) Nuclear fusion has lead to the formation of all other chemical elements. Its main formation was 2He4. This is the heavier nuclei. It helped to form this and continued as a chain reaction. Also an example of nuclear fusion leading to the formation of another thing is the Big Bang theory. This states that it is believed that fusion was used to help form the universe. This would have to be in continuation of a chain reaction and is a good thing because without the formation of the universe we would not have anywhere to live today. A lot of the time Hydrogen burning is used as nuclear fusion to create a new element as well. This is a great process.
That is my essay about the Sun. The sun is related to many other things that occur in the universe. As well as the sun helps to create other things due to fusion. Without the sun everyone on earth may be dead. I am thankful for the earth today because it creates light for the world, and helps in the formation of many other things.

Sky observations

At night I have seen a lot of different things in the sky. Some are more interesting than others. One thing I have seen is the phases of the moon change. They have been waning so it is not as big. Another observation is the meteor shower. This was sweet in the sky. The third observation I have seen is the big dipper and little dipper. With the map I can now see these things. Also have seen a shooting star a few times. Last thing is how the moon seems to glow up against the clouds. It looks cool because it lights up the entire sky. I like looking at the sky at night. It is interesting.

Nature Trail #2

On the nature trail I saw many new things. One thing I saw was the trail at the front that goes down to the pond. This was all blocked offer before. I also saw some painted signs that had not been painted before. The 3rd thing was the new land that we had donated to the trail. This was interesting. The 4th thing was 2 wood peckers.. I have never seen one before. The last new thing that I saw was the color of the leafs changed. They are not yellow anymore and great leafs.

The trail can be used for many things. Here are 5 educational things that you can get out of the trail.
1: Teach kids of natural and un natural plants
2: allow kids to get out of the school, and see nature
3: learn about the different types of habitats
4: Teaching the students about animals that live in the woods.
5: allowing students to wander around and get nice fresh air.

The trail can also be used by the community. This would be fun and educational. Here is how:
1: could create a haunted woods for halloween to make money
2: allow botany groups around the town to use it to experiment with plants
3: gives advertisement for some companys
4:cross country team can use it to run
5: bring together the community to help and clean it up.

My NASA page

I uploaded pictures and videos on to my nasa page. They were about since in hunger, robots, and carbon. It helped me to learn more about the things that they use in NASA. NASA would be a fun place to work because it doesn't just deal with the sky. The pictures on this site are very intersting. They show the sky, space, and other awesome types of things in the atmosphere. Here is my URL:

Space Blog

1st reading:
I learned that scientist really rely on the shape and size of stars. Not only their brightness. This is important to discover all different things in the sky,
I got a 67 on the quiz.
I foudn out how to do a star simulation.

2nd reading:
I read about the sun. I learned that the sun is dangerous in a few ways. You should not look directly into the sun. Also that there are sunspots in which are darker spots on the sun. Also I learned that the sun is just a giant star. It is very bright and it creates a lot of heat.
I got a 100% on the quiz.
I learned how to simulate with the sun by using a pair of binoculars.

3rd reading:
I read about Dark Energy. This is speeding up its expansion. It is a big suprise to astronomers. It creates expansion in the universe. It is a bunch of stored energy in the universe that truly does affect us.
33% on the quiz
The project is to see if we can identify objects in a dark room. I would be able to as some things are simple to identify. But on the other hand some things I wouldn't be able to bec ause I don't know everything about their shape and size.

4th Reading:
X-Ray detectors
This is used to determine the brightness in the stars and other items. It also collects different types of energy data. This would be very useful to the astronomers. If it wasn't for these detectors than they would have to do this in a different way.
Quiz: 67%
There is no try this on this ad. However I think that it would be fun to use one of these detectors to see what all you could learn out of it.

Nature trail Project

So far with my project I have gotten people recruited. I also have made signs, and advertised for the clean up. We talked with mrs. Towsley and learned more about natural and un natural plants. Soon I will know more that will help us out in making the trail a better place.
